The Alliance is a volunteer health organization. We welcome you to join us. Our mission is two-fold: promoting the good health of our community and forging strong bonds within the family of medicine. Membership is open to physicians and spouses at all stages of career development: medical student, resident, practicing and retired. Now beginning our 83rd year in 2010, we've shared many successes through community health initiatives, fundraising for medical education and research, and impacting legislation. Why is volunteering so significant? When we give we are helping others and they benefit, but it’s also true that people who give of themselves are happier, healthier, and have a greater sense of self-worth. When we give, we are positive role models for the youth in our lives. Finally, our giving improves the well-being of the community in which we live and work.  

If you are new to the medical community, we strive to welcome new medical families beginning their practice in Sedgwick County. We also reach out to residents and medical students and their families, and highlight Medical Society events and issues. We know that friendships, support and mutual respect are vital to feeling connected,  and we strive to promote that within the family of medicine.

 The "glue" that holds our organization together are monthly membership meetings featuring a variety of programming, plus weekly emails and monthly newsletters that help us stay connected. Whether educational or entertaining, there is always something for everyone, in every season of life.  Whether you join for the volunteer opportunities, the friendships and networking, or just to encourage others through your dues support, we take this opportunity to thank you.
